One of my all time artistic inspirations and perhaps the most overlooked voice in the comic art world, Seth Fisher, has died today. According to family, his death was the result of an accidental fall from the roof of an Osaka, Japan night club. Death itself can seem a dimly remembered nightmare, but Seth's passing seems all the more baffling and impossible to grasp than most. Seth, known perhaps most notably for his work on Green Lantern: Willworld, garnered praise for his distinctive, hyper-intricate yet clean use of contrasting linework. His artistic voice and mind blowing technique was entirely his own (his major was in math, rather than art, which accounts for alot!), but perhaps even more relevant was his lavish, absurdist subject matter. A kind of Lewis Carol of the modern world, his boundless imagination was a motivation to us all in the humdrum of daily life. His presence in my personal as well as professional life will be sorely missed. Words cannot express how meaningful and refreshing an energy it was that Seth embodied, and how desperately the world lacks what he made it his life's work to resurrect. He'll not soon be forgotten. Condolences can be sent to his wife Hisako and son Toufuu at his site. I'll be posting the transcript from an e-mail Seth sent me a few years back, a timeless sentiment that helped pull me out of a truly trying period in my artistic development. ![]() ![]() ![]()

sub-ID comissioned me to animate a freeform narrative for their song 'BFF' to coincide with their upcoming 1320 records release in the spring. I'm enlisting the aid of the DC Night Owl, known in mortal circles as Robert Hines, to aid in concepting, design, and 3-D content for this beast.

I've been approached by 1320 records to re-design a comprehensive identity campaign for their main site as well as their satellite music store. 1320 is known most notably as the parent label for live ambient break masters Sound Tribe Sector 9. The good people at Gigagig will be helping to implement audio content via their home brewed server-side system, set in place for Sector 9's music store.

The Znth has landed. My close friend and fabled hair model Harun Bhatti from Pomade designed the site. I designed the main interface, scripted in Flash and groaned quite a bit. It was worth it though, don't you think?
